RST AI Copilot for Zabbix
An on-premises network-operations copilot for an existing Zabbix: ask Zabbix in plain language, collapse alert storms to the root cause, and generate triggers and monitoring configuration.
Overview
RST AI Copilot for Zabbix is an AI gateway delivered as Docker containers. It runs inside your network and connects to your existing Zabbix. It does not include Zabbix; it reads problems, events, triggers, items, history and hosts over JSON-RPC with one Zabbix API token (or account). Engineers ask questions in plain language, and the gateway writes the Zabbix API calls, runs them and summarizes the result.
Supported Zabbix versions are 6.0, 6.4, 7.0, 7.2 and 7.4. Versions older than 6.0 are not supported.

The gateway is read-only on Zabbix by default. Only four kinds of action write to Zabbix, and a person starts each one in the UI: acknowledge or close a problem, create a trigger (created disabled, to be enabled after review), create a maintenance window, and run the Ping and Traceroute global scripts. Maintenance windows and remote diagnostics show a preview first and are written only after confirmation. The gateway never changes templates, hosts or other configuration.

Every edition uses the same archive. Without an activated license the gateway runs as Community and the free features work. The paid features need a Professional or Enterprise license; Professional is licensed per user. A trial license opens every Enterprise feature for 14 days on one node with up to 10 accounts. Enterprise adds single sign-on, separation of duties, audit forwarding to an external SIEM, LLM failover and offline activation. Upgrading only means importing a license; no reinstall is needed. See Editions for the comparison and License for activation.
The Community Edition is free and includes every free feature. The archive is on GitHub: Reallysec/RST-AI-Copilot-for-Zabbix.
