Editions
What the Community, Professional and Enterprise editions include, and what a trial license covers.
RST AI Copilot for Prometheus comes in three editions. All of them connect to your existing Prometheus and Alertmanager and install the same way. Every edition uses the same bundle; the activated license decides which features are available.
Who each edition is for
- Community: free, no license needed. Installing from the public GitHub repository without importing a license gives you Community. It includes Ask AI, live alerts and silences, network posture, device inventory, monitoring coverage, the metric dictionary, the knowledge base, masking, audit and notifications, for 1 user on a single node.
- Professional: licensed per user. Adds alert triage, alert investigation, AI alert rule generation, the monitoring health check, capacity forecasting, alert noise reduction and reports. Fits one network operations team on a single node.
- Enterprise: everything in Professional plus what an organization needs: OIDC single sign-on, audit forwarding, multi-provider model failover and offline activation, with no limit on nodes.

Model calls are unlimited because you bring your own model; the gateway does not meter them.
Trial
A trial license unlocks every Enterprise feature for 14 days on 1 node with up to 10 enabled accounts.
Locked features and seats
- Without a license, paid features show as locked. You can open them; clicking an action offers the upgrade. Everything else keeps working.
- A license carries a number of user seats, and the gateway keeps the number of enabled accounts within it. Disabled accounts do not use a seat, and their records and history are kept.
- If a license lapses while more accounts are enabled than it allows, only admins can sign in. No data is lost.
Upgrading
To upgrade from Community, an admin activates a license. No reinstall is needed; data and the host fingerprint are kept.
Request a trial on the trial page and buy an edition on the product page; license keys are in the console.
Quick start
Install the gateway on one Linux host with a single command, connect your Prometheus and Alertmanager, and sign in.
Requirements and network
Check the host size, Docker version, Prometheus and Alertmanager versions, model endpoint and access address, and the inbound and outbound ports to open, before you install.
